Jakarta History Museum, situated in the Jakarta region of Java Island is one of the Indonesia Java International Destination. Jakarta History Museum is situated in the region of Old Jakarta Kota area. The Taman Fatahillah square consists of three numbers of the city’s interesting museums. The square was once considered as the heart of the colonial administration in the 18th century. During the year 1970, this place was subjected to major restoration. There is a fountain in the middle of the Taman Fatahillah square which once served as the main source of water supply for the former colonial capital. Jakarta History Museum, an Indonesia Java International Destination is a kind of museum that displays the history of development of the Jakarta City in terms of the community and event. All developments which date back to prehistory periods and even the recent developments are housed in the Jakarta History Museum. The building of the museum was constructed in the year of 1707 according to an inscription present in one of the collection of the museum and during the reign of VOC. The Jakarta History Museum is located in front of the Taman Fatahillah Square which was formerly referred as the Stadhuisplein. Since the history of Jakarta is very long the museum also has a large number of collection which depicts the development of the city of Jakarta.
